How To: Quick Creation

Create your first Character!

Click on Create in the nav bar, and then Create a Character.To facilitate the creation of your character, we have prepared a character creation tool for you. You only need to provide the required information as per the tool's instructions, and you can craft a vibrant and engaging character of your own.

You only need to define and create a simple character through Name, Introduction, Appearance and Avatar, and Language Description.

Here are specific details about these four attributes:

Name:

Name is the character's name, the way you address it in the conversation. It serves as both your reference for the character in the chat and how other users will identify them.

A common name is just a code, and it doesn't create any particular impression of the character. However, when it comes to well-known famous character names, it's a different story; they can have a significant impact on the character, especially for those with limited other defining details.

For example, if your character has a famous name that the system has seen multiple times during training, just that name alone can define basic behavior. Having both a first name and a last name might be more helpful, so "Albert Einstein" would be better than just "Albert." Without more detailed information, "Albert" would be vague.

Of course, names don't have to be unique, so there may be many characters with the same name. Since usernames are unique, the combination of the character's name and the creator will ensure that you return to a specific character.

Introduction:

As the name suggests, this is a brief introduction to the character, providing a concise way for the system to describe the character and the scene. It will be displayed on the character card in the interface.

A brief description can help people understand the character, especially when the name itself is not clear. It's important to note that the brief description doesn't influence the character's behavior; it's simply a way to introduce the character to users.

For example, if the character's name is Ava, a useful introduction could be "Your private English teacher."

Appearance and Avatar:

Describe the appearance of the character you've created, which will be used to generate an avatar and illustrations during the conversation process.

The avatar will be combined with the name and other elements to make your character visually engaging and unique.

For the avatar, the system provides some drawing and uploading tools:

* Upload avatar:

You can click "Choose File" to select an image from your local files to use as the character's avatar.

If you don't have a suitable image in your local files for the character's avatar, you can also choose to have AI generate an avatar for your character.

* Avatar generation:

  1. First, make sure the character's appearance has been defined. A relatively complete definition might look like this: lips, looking at the viewer, young girl, white, brown hair, brown eyes.

  2. Click the "Preview Appearance" button to have AI generate an avatar based on the defined appearance.

  3. Wait in the image pop-up box for the avatar to be generated.

  4. The system will display the generated avatar in the pop-up box.

  5. If you don't like the image generated this time, you can click the close button in the top right corner of the image pop-up box. Then, click the "Preview Appearance" button again to regenerate the avatar.

  6. If you'd like to use the image generated this time as the avatar, you can click the "Save as Avatar" button to set it as the character's avatar.

Tips: If you want to save the image generated this time to your computer, you can click the "Save as" button, which opens a new image preview page. Right-click on the image on that page, and from the pop-up menu, select "Save image as" to save it to your local disk.

Lang description:

The Character Visibility defines who will be able to talk to your Character. If set to Public, your Character will be visible on Home and in search results. If it's Unlisted, others won't see it unless you share the link, while if you set it to Private no one else will be able to talk with the Character.

The long description is essential for providing detailed information about the character and their role in the story or conversation. Here, you can define the character's personality and traits, including their history, behavior, preferences, and more. You can also explain the world-building aspects of the story, the types of topics the character is interested in, and their background. The length of the long description can vary from a few sentences to several paragraphs.

A compelling long description can offer insights into the character's backstory, showcase their detailed appearance, and highlight their unique personality traits.
